How to Identify a song playing near you

Here are the different apps which will help you to identify any song which you heard but then forget or that you heard in the subway and couldn’t make it out. These applications use different modes to identify a song. Some apps can listen to the tune and then identify the song whereas in some of the apps you can find the song just by using some of the lyrics or words you know of the song. So, let’s save the time and jump to these apps to know that song.

1.Google now( For Android)

Google now is an inbuilt app in most of the Android phones. This app lets you perform many functions such as setting your alarm, voice search anything and so on. So, just like Siri, Android users can use Google now to identify a song playing near you. The app quickly guesses the song and provides you results. So, for doing this, just launch the app and ask Google now “Name this song”, “What’s this song” or “What song is this” then it will take few seconds to listen and identify the song and then give you the song name.

2. Siri (for iPhone users)

Well, iOS users are acquainted with Siri very well. It is a quite popular inbuilt application in iOS devices. You can ask anything to Siri and it will reply you. Now the app is also capable of integrating with many third-party applications. These are the common things you all know.
You only need to ask Siri “Name that song” or “What’s that song playing “, then Siri will listen to the song and provide you the name of the song. Quite easy, right?

3.Musixmatch

Musixmatch is another great app for recognizing a song playing near you. The app is free to download and available for every device OS. Whether you are using iOS, Android or Windows phone, you can get the app for any device.

Along with music recognition tool, it’s also a music player which allows you to play your own songs on it. For identifying a song you just need to tap the hamburger icon and then select the identify lyrics option. The app will listen to the song which you want to identify and create its fingerprints and it will find the song from its huge database which matches the fingerprint and then gives you details of the song.
